This card pack contains 45 cards for the Griffin Army and includes all the profiles needed to start playing the army of the Griffin in the epic battles of Confrontation: The Age of the Rag'narok!

Demon hunters are agents of the Inquisition, trained to track down creatures from the Realms of Darkness and they travel across Aarklash looking for these monsters.

The new emperor and new pope have decided that the Temple and the Inquisition should collaborate. Besides, the Temple needs scouting units to keep an eye on enemy movements and strike behind enemy lines. Demon hunters are therefore deployed in Temple companies. Unfortunately, old grudges are not that easy to forget, and co-operation is not always smooth…

The strength of a demon hunters unit is their ability to deploy anywhere on the battlefield. However, the Commander needs to be careful not to get carried away: too far from their army to be supported and the demon hunters might be overwhelmed by the enemy. This sacrifice might still be worth it as long as they have already taken care of a remote and particularly troublesome foe: war machine, marksman unit, etc. Demon hunters can also be deployed in the middle of the battlefield as bait, falling back to draw the enemy into a trap.

Fusiliers are highly trained professionals who demonstrate the might of the Igneous God every day. They are equipped with a powerful Akkylannian rifle, and that is all they need. The salvoes from their weapons are so accurate, powerful and efficient that they have no need for heavy armor or cumbersome melee weapons.

In battle, fusiliers weaken the enemy before he gets into hand to hand combat and finishes off those who try to flee. A daring Commander will deploy them on the frontline for maximum accuracy and use them as bait. However, it is wiser to position them on high ground at the rear to get the best possible line of sight.

The Temple is the avenging arm of the Griffin, a disciplined army dedicated to spreading the faith in Merin to the people of Aarklash. The standard of the Temple flies high above the four cardinal commanderies, scattered across the continent; the spearmen march to battle to the sound of their musicians and the clerics sing their battlechants at the top of their voices to secure the igneous god’s fiery blessings.

The Spearmen Attachment Box completes the Spearmen Unit Box by adding a cleric, a musician and a standard bearer to Griffin spearmen units. The standard bearer reinforces their morale against frightening units; thanks to the musician, they can use a tactic unique to their unit type. In the meantime, the cleric heals those whose blood is spilled to serve Merin.

Most spearmen are conscripts who have chosen to serve Akkylannie after their period of conscription has finished. Others are former criminals whom the Temple has offered a chance to redeem themselves. The former receive extra training while the latter can only rely on what they learnt as outlaws. These experienced warriors are given a new weapon, the spear. Thanks to this weapon, spearmen can cut down enemy ranks while keeping out of their reach.Using the reach of their weapons spearmen can keep dangerous enemies at bay. They accompany elite units and support them at the heart of the most terrible battles: lined up correctly spearmen in the second row get to strike enemies at the same time as the front rank. When deployed in large numbers spearmen they can threaten even elite enemy troops. Just what you would expect of professional soldiers!

The standard of the Temple flies proudly above the four cardinal commanderies scattered over the continent. The Templar’s march to battle to the sound of their musicians and their war songs, sung relentlessly by the chaplains who are there to guarantee the igneous god shall bestow upon them his flaming blessings.

The Griffin Templar’s Attachment Box completes the Griffin Templar’s Unit Box through the addition of a chaplain, musician and standard bearer. The standard bearer reinforces the morale of the Temple’s elite troops. Thanks to the musician, they can use their "dedicated" tactic. As for the chaplain, he galvanizes the faith of his brothers and calls the “Avenging arm of Merin”, a miracle that turns their swords into sacred weapons.

Griffin Templar's are Akkylannians so fervent in their beliefs that they have chosen to spread the word of Merin across Aarklash. Monks pilgrims and soldiers, these men are aware that without justice faith is nothing. In battle, they burn with divine anger leaving no doubt concerning their fervor. Inhabited by this fury and well equipped, the Templar’s are formidable warriors.

The Templar’s are elite troops for the army of the Griffin. They are used to break the enemy wherever he believes he is strong. A wise Commander will keep them in reserve ready to strike at exactly the right moment. Once engaged, Templar’s will only stop fighting once the enemy is eliminated. They are particularly efficient against opponents who are able to fight but who have little physical protection. That said, heavy armor is not that tough a nut for them to crack!
