Rules of Engagement

Rules of Engagement is a tabletop wargame for two or more players that allows you to recreate battles of the twentieth century to the present day. Players use miniature soldiers on model terrain and in this book you will find a comprehensive rules system that will allow you to field your troops on the battlefield.

The 240 page hardback Rules of Engagement rulebook contains:

GAME RULES: The complete gaming rules covering movement, weapons, close quarters combat, artillery and more. Includes opportunity fire, hidden troops, snipers, tank support and fortifications. With clear examples and diagrams, Rules of Engagement is easily accessible yet offers plenty of depth for experienced players.

SCENARIOS: Nine scenarios from take and hold missions to desperate rearguard actions. Each scenario includes specific rules covering, for example, rserves, unacceptable losses and additional orders.

THE SECOND WORLD WAR 1944-45: A detailed history of the War on the Western Front from D-Day to the Fall of the Reich. The Orders of Battle section gives detailed listings of the forces available including company and divisional support options. Forces covered: German Grenadiers, Panzergrenadiers, Volksgrenadiers, Fallschirmjager and Waffen SS, British Infantry, Airborne and Commandos, Canadian Infantry, US Infantry, Armored Infantry, Parachute Infantry and Rangers and the Maquis.

HOBBY SECTION: A complete colour guide to painting your miniatures and creating a battlefield. Armoured Assault is the fourth source book for Rules of Engagement and allows players to field additional vehicles to those listed in current published works.

As well as this it also provides gamers with additional scenarios with rules for fielding more than one armoured vehicle alongside infantry platoons or on their own.

What tanks will you find in Armoured Assault? The majority of the vehicles you will find in the book are vehicles that were found on the battlefield during the latter part of World War Two. These are vehicles that haven’t featured in the Orders of Battle given in the rule book or Operation Bagration source book. As well as these we have also included a few vehicles which, although not in the field in large numbers, are availiable to gamers as models and thus we wanted to give people the option to field them.

Operation Bagration is the first supplement for the Rules of Engagement rule system, covers the Eastern Front from June 1944 to May 1945.

The 104 page book includes Orders of Battle for the following forces: Soviet Rifle, Motorised, Reduced Strength and Partisan platoons, German Volkssturm, Ruckkampfer and Eastern Waffen SS platoons; Finns, Romanians, Hungarians and Slovaks.

The Operations and Objectives sourcebook allows players to introduce a strategic level to their WWII gaming. Taking control of company sized formations on the campaign map, sides compete to accomplish objectives set by the upper echelons of their commands.

Designed for multiple players using the " Rules of Engagement" tabletop wargame, this addtion will encourage gamers to carefully consider every turn within a game of "Rules of Engagement" as any poor decision at platoon level could potentially cost the campaign!

Campaign rules provide all that is needed to play in cluding map generation, terrain features, supply lines, tactical reserves, resolving casualties and special rules such as railheads, para drops, airstrikes and the random fortunes of war! Also includes the sample historical scenario, "The Defence of St.Vith".
