The Command Squad coordinates ambushes, prioritises targets, positions kill-zones and leads the charge to destroy the enemy.

The 79-piece Imperial Guard Cadian Command Squad kit contains enough components to enable you to assemble five specialist troopers, including: an Officer, a Medic, a Special Weapon Trooper, a Vox-caster and a Guardsman with Company Banner. Lieutenants, or Junior Officers are in command of an Infantry Platoon. The Lieutenant is accompanied into battle by his attendant staff. Each platoon consists of between 2 and 5 squads.

Imperial Guard platoons are made up of several ten-man squads. In the face of the enemy the serried ranks of the Imperial Guard are trained to stand firm and respond with a steady aim. Opponents charging at Imperial Guard positions must first survive a blazing hail of lasfire, a fusillade that can stem the tide of all but the most determined assault.
