This splendid fellow is the perfect accompaniment for your British Line Regiment. As befits a gentleman he is mounted so he stands above the lowly foot troopers he commands.

This blister pack contains 3 great models than can transform your Landwehr battalion into a mini diorama, or simply give you a differing choice of command.

It has two choices of officer, randomly supplied, and a "twinned" figure of a wounded ensign being supported by his Drummer comrade..includes flagpole and finial.

Exempt from the 1793 "Law to Rid the Army of Useless Women" vivandieres would follow the French army and sell the soldiers food, drink, and sundries like tobacco, wig powder, and writing paper and ink. They were married to soldiers called "Vivandiers" who were the only soldiers granted permission to sell goods. Too busy fighting and drilling to sell naturally this duty fell to their wives.

The Vivandiere blister pack contains one a single Vivandiere model supplied with two heads and two arms and a tethered Donkey.

Charles Edward Louis John Casimir Sylvester Maria Stuart, or as we shall simply call him, Bonnie Prince Charlie was the pretender to the British throne in the mid-18th century. Landing in Scotland with a tiny escort he raised the Clans and marched an army south into England pausing only to devastate a Government army that tried to block him at Prestonpans.

At Culloden Moor, he faced the brutal and efficient Duke of Cumberland and his redcoats. He lost most of his army in this battle, the last major battle on British soil and fled into exile and legend.

The Duke of Cumberland, was a younger son and favourite of the brave George II of England. He grew up to command large British forces on the Continent after initially trying out for the Royal Navy. He fought bravely and well in the endless battles of the mid-18th century, being wounded at the Allied victory at Dettingen.

A splendid depiction of a senior Landwher officer of the Napoleonic wars. these Reservists fought in the wars of liberation of 1813-1815, culminating in their great victory at Waterloo where thay distinguished themselves at Ligny and Plancenoit.

These fellows can be placed alongside the plastic boxed set of Landwher and could easily represent their Colonel and aide.

A great pack to add flavour and character to your brave Prussian lads. It has ten dead and wounded fellows, made up of an assortment of 4 models, and includes a mix of muskets and even some pikes, so poorly armed were the Militia in their early days.

These are great models, full of fun and make great markers for Black Powder games too!

We have sculpted some more metal Landwehr so that you can give yet more variety to your brave Prussian battalions. A good few thousand pikes were issued in the early days of their existence when muskets were short, and units certainly drilled and marched with them. It’s unlikely that many units got to use their archaic weapon in anger, which is probably just as well.

The front ranks only were issued with the pikes, the remaining two would have been musket armed.

All Prussian infantry were well-trained and drilled, and the Landwehr were no exception, if time allowed infantry could advance in a manner of ways, but advancing “at the trail” seems to have been the favoured mode, allowing a quick pace, whilst keeping the temptation of stopping to fire away from a nervous soldier under fire.

At the Battle of Ligny (16th June 1815) II Battalion, 1st Westphalian Landwehr withstood 3 charges by French Cuirassiers and Heavy Cavalry of the Old Guard, driving the French back each time with volley fire.
